Water Park & Mud Festival Thrills in Seoul

Splash & slide at a water park & have messy fun at Boryeong Mud Festival, while staying at a chic hotel in the bustling Gangnam district.

About Your Trip

Embrace the playful side of South Korea as you journey to Seoul, the nation’s bustling capital city. Beyond its cultural wonders is a world of water parks and festivals — and you’ll get to discover both on this incredible DreamTrip! Your full-day, family-friendly outing starts at Caribbean Bay water park, named after Christopher Columbus’s exploration to the Caribbean. Its 5 themed areas feature a wave pool with a beach, slides of all kinds, surfing and tube rides. Take a break at one of the villages where you can relax and enjoy views of windmills, a giant skull bucket pouring water and people riding on rafts down the Wild River. There’s also a sauna, hot tub, restaurants and shops selling souvenirs.

And the entertainment doesn’t end there! Head to Daecheon Beach for the opening day of Boryeong Mud Festival. Get ready for some messy fun, from mud pools, slides and fountains to obstacle courses and playgrounds. While there, you’ll be treated to a Boryeong Korean Spa experience, leaving you refreshed and ready for more muddy fun!

You’ll also delight in a day of leisure to explore the city to your heart’s desire. Check out the N Seoul Tower, a former radio station built in 1969 — from an observation deck there, you’ll get a great panorama of the city’s intriguing landscape with 360-degree views. Or, head to the bustling, artsy Insadong district, and stock up on souvenirs and crafts such as pottery and traditional tea sets.

What we love:
• The mud used at Boryeong Mud Festival is imported from mud flats around the area — it’s purported to be rich in minerals and provide some health benefits.
• During South Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, which lasted nearly 500 years starting in the late 1300s, bulgogi was a dish prepared primarily for nobility and the wealthy.
• If you love shopping, Seoul is the place for you! The city is full of vibrant markets selling items of all kinds — meat, seafood, gadgets, clothing, souvenirs and much more.
• To maximize your enjoyment, download the DreamTrips™ app to access DreamTrips Local — then earn points on dining, entertainment, spa experiences & more at select spots recommended by DreamTrippers just like you!
